I develop very close relationships with my clients during the time we work together in the college admissions process. Watching teenagers make their first real big decision is wonderful to behold. I want to thank those parents and students who have graciously volunteered to share their experiences working with me. A big heartfelt thank you to each of you. It has been a joy working with you!
Julie was enormously helpful. My son loved working with her. He really trusted Julie to help him through the admissions process and respected her opinions, and her recommendations made sense to him. She offered good advice, helped him pare down his list to a manageable few, and made me feel that we were doing the best we could to find a school that would be a good fit. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me this year. Your guidance, insight, and advice have been invaluable. I am so excited about next year and I owe so much to you for helping me make this decision. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
— Stephanie Day-Goodman, Oxford College at Emory University '18
Thank you Julie, for believing in me and help me get to college. Your love and support helped me reach my highest potential. Thank you for being a part of my growth.

After realizing that our quirky son needed guidance in finding the right college, especially since he had been home-schooled, we researched and found Julie Beck. Not only did she spend a lot of time and care getting to know our son, but she guided him to the perfect college! We are all thrilled.

Julie Beck is a counselor extraordinaire. She is a breath of fresh air. She did what anyone going through the college application process wants most: she reduced my stress!
— Griffin Gonzales, Harvard College '18
The college application process can really take a toll on you. Julie helped ease my worries and helped me step back to just breathe and approach my applications with a more positive and effective outlook. Even now as a college graduate, I still remember her positive feedback and the peace that came with her help with gratitude.

Julie helped my twin daughters clarify what they each wanted most from their college experience and guided them through each step. I now have one daughter who just completed her sophomore year at the University of Oregon and is excited about her participation with the crew team and her field of study. Her twin sister is playing soccer for Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, where she just completed her sophomore year. With so many difficult decisions to make, and so many pressures for the students to deal with, Julie served as a clear-headed voice of reason and an understanding ear to talk to. I am so thankful for her help!
— Tracy Tessler, Eugene Oregon
Julie was caring, knowledgeable, and patient as our daughter sought to find the “just right” college. In the end, Julie’s skills helped midwife our daughter’s acceptance into a college that we hadn’t even considered prior to meeting with Julie. Our daughter had a wonderful college experience attending the college that Julie helped her discover and gain admission to.
— Linda Rifkin, Portland Oregon
Navigating the college selection process is daunting in today’s world. With such myriad choices, it was difficult to know how to help my daughter focus her selection process. Julie’s service was invaluable. She took the time to understand who my daughter was as a person and then tailor her recommendations to schools that matched my daughter’s interests and goals. And we ended up with a choice that none of us anticipated when we started the process. Julie Beck is a wonderful resource for kids embarking on what is most often their first solo journey. If I could clone Julie I would put her in every high school in America!
— Lois Day, Eugene Oregon
Julie came very highly recommended and I knew I wanted to work with her. But I wasn’t sure how it would work out, since I live in Michigan and Julie is 2500 miles away in Oregon. I needn’t have worried! We were able to communicate seamlessly using Skype. It was almost as if we were sitting together in Julie’s office. Based on my personal experience, I wouldn’t let your location prevent you from taking advantage of Collegesavvy’s excellent counseling services.
